Memorial Prizes

1. Dr. T . N . HARSHAVARDHAN REDDY PRIZE

Dr. T.N. Harshavardhan Reddy S/o Sri T.N. Raghunatha Reddy Donated an amount of Rs.1 lakh to our college on the occasion of the college Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 1992, in honour of his beloved parents Sri T.N.Raghunatha Reddy Garu and Smt. T.N. Anasuya Devi Garu who have served as Correspondents of our college for a period of over two decades. The interest accrued on this amount is utilized for awarding scholarships to the poor, meritorious and deserving students of this College coming from Thamballapalli and Madanapalli constituencies in the following manner:

1.To one student from M.A.(Econ.) at the rate of Rs.2000 per year.
2.To one student from M.com, at the rate of Rs.2000 per year.
3.To three students from computer degree courses at the rate of Rs.2000 each.
4.To four science degree students at the rate of Rs.1000 each.

2.Sri T.N. NAGI REDDY MEMORIAL PRIZES

Sri. T.N. Nagi Reddy Memorial Prizes were instituted by Dr. T.N. Raghurami Reddy, Madanapalli with an endowment of Rs.9,100/- deposited in the local Madanapalli Co-op, Central Bank Ltd. The annual interest accruing on the Deposit is utilized for prizes every year in the form of Gold Plated Silver Medals or Books as follows :

1. To a student scoring the highest marks in Part-1 subjects in both the First and Second Year put together at first appearance in the University Examinations.
2. To a student scoring the highest total Marks in Part-2 subjects in all the three years put together at first appearance in the B.Com., Degree University Examinations.
3. To a student scoring the highest total Marks in Part-2 subjects in all the three years put together at first appearance in the B.A. Degree University Examinations.
4. To a student scoring the highest total Marks in Part-2 subjects in all the three years put together at first appearance in the B.Sc. Degree University Examinations
3.Prof. S. SRIPATHI NAIDU MEMORIAL PRIZES

These prizes were instituted by the three brothers Sri. S. Sathya Praveen, Sri. S. Pradeep Naidu and Sri. S. Pramod Naidu in memory of their father Prof.S. Sripathi Naidu, former professor and Head of the Department of History and Archeology with an endowment of Rs.5,000/- for the following prizes:

1. One Prize of Rs.150/- in the form of a Gold Plated Silver Medal to a student securing the highest Marks in History in all the three years put together at the first appearance in the B.A. Degree University Examinations.
2. Two Prizes: (1st Prize Rs.30 and 2nd Prize Rs.20 in books) to Degree students who stand first and second respectively in an Oratorical Competition.
3. One Prize of Rs.50/- in books to a student who will be adjudged as the best actor in a Drama Competition.
4. Two Prizes of Rs.25/- each in books; one for boys and one for girls standing first in a Competition of Light Music.

4.Smt. RUKMINI DEVI MEMORIAL PRIZE

Three Prizes of about Rs.50/- each is awarded to one student of B.A., one student of B.Sc., and one student of B.Com., Degree Courses respectively, who score the highest total marks in Part II University Examinations of all the three years put together.

5.Sri. C.JINARAJADASA MEMORIAL PRIZE

Of about Rs.50/- in books is awarded to a student who scores the highest total marks in Part I at the first appearance in both I and II year Degree University Examinations put together.

6.SHANTHI MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Sri.N.Janakiram in memory of his daughter N.Santha Kumari. This Prize of about of Rs.50/- in books is awarded to a girl student of B.Com., Course who scores the highest marks among the girls at first appearance in the   University Examinations all the three Years put together.

7.SRI BONTHALA KRISHNAIAH CHETTY MEMORIAL PRIZE

TWO PRIZES: Instituted by Sri. B.K Subba Raj, M.A., B.L., former Lecturer in English in memory of his father Sri. Bonthala Krishnaiah Chetty, with an endowment of Rs.500/-. One prize of about 25/- in books is awarded to a student of the III year Degree (Day College) and another of the same value is awarded to a student of the III year Degree (Evening College)
Standing first in Part-1 English of I and II year University Examinations put together and passing in the first attempt.

8.Sri R.SIVARAMASASTRY MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Sri. R. Subramanyam Sastry in memory of his father Sri. R. Sivarama Sastry of about Rs.50/- in books is awarded to a student of the B.Sc., Chemistry at the first appearance in the University Examinations of all the three years put together.

9. COMMERCE PROFESSOR'S PRIZE

Instituted by Prof. G. Kailasapathy Rao, of about Rs.50/- in books is awarded to a student of B.Com, who scores the highest marks in Part II at first appearance in the University Examinations of all the three years put together.

10. Prof. V.ANJANEYASARMA MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Dr. V. Kanaka Sabhapathy, M.Sc., Ph.D. Reader in Physics in memory of his father Prof. V. Anjaneya Sarma, former Professor of Telugu, with an endowment of Rs.500/-. This Prize of about Rs.50/- in books in awarded to a student of B.A., securing highest marks in Part II Telugu Subject in the University Examinations of all the three years put together and passing in the first attempt.

11. Sri BOYANAPALLE RAMA RAO MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Smt. Nemali Suguna Janakiram in memory of her father, Sri.B.Rama Rao, former Prof. of Physics with an endowment of Rs.500/-. This Prize of about Rs.50/- in books is awarded to a student of B.Sc., securing highest marks in Physics Subject in the University Examinations of all the three years put together and passing in the first attempt.

12. Prof. SANGAM KRISHNA MURTHY MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Sri. Sangam K.R. in memory of his father Sri. Sangam Krishnamurthy, former Head, Department of Political Science with an endowment of Rs.1000/-.This prize amount of Rs.100/- in books is awarded to the student of B.A. who scores the highest marks in Political Science Subject in the University Examinations of all the Three Years put together and passing in the first attempt.

13. Smt G. LAKSHMAMMA PRIZE

Instituted by Smt. G. lakshmamma of Hyderabad, a retried teacher and former student of the College with an endowment of Rs.3000/-. Three prizes of the value of Rs.100/- each are awarded to three student of B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com., who score the highest marks in the University Examinations and pass in the first attempt.

14. Sri BOYAPATI RAMALINGAPPA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Instituted by his sons, Messers (1) B.Ramalingaswamy (2) B.Ramachandran (3) B.Ramaswamy & (4) B.Ramakrishna with an endowment of Rs.5000/-. The Scholarship amount equal to the annual interest accruing on the endowment deposit is awarded to the economically backward and meritorious student prosecuting the Degree Course, as decided by the Prizes Committee.

15. Sri Y. NANDI REDDY PRIZE

Instituted by Sri.Y.Nandi Reddy,B.A., L.L.B., special Grade Deputy Collector and former student of the College with an endowment of Rs.1000/-. This prize of about Rs.100/- is awarded to a poor and meritorious student of good conduct and character as decided by the prizes committee.

16. Sri SUBHRAVETI THIPPA JOSYULU MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Sri S.L.N.Josyulu, Head of the Department of Mathematics in memory of his father Sri.S.Tippajosyulu with an endowment of Rs.500/- This prize of about Rs.500/- in books is awarded to a student of B.Sc., who has scored the highest marks in Mathematics subject in the University Examinations of all the Three Years put together and passing in the first attempt.
17. Sri JOLEPALYAM SUBBANNA MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Dr.Jolepalyam Bhagyalakshmi of Delhi through Dr.Jolepalyam Mangamma (Both alumni of the College) in memory of Sri. Jolepalyam Subbanna with an endowment of Rs.500/- This prize of about Rs.50/-in books is awarded to a student of III B.A. who has scored the highest marks in part II English of the Final Year University Examination and passed in the first attempt.

18.Smt.JOLEPALYAM LAKSHMAMMA MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Dr.Jolapalyam Bhagyalakshmi of Delhi through Dr.Jolapalyam Managamma(Both alumini of the College) in memory of Smt.Jolepalyam Lakshmamma W/o Subanna with an endowment of Rs.500/- This prize of about Rs.50/- in books is awarded to a girl student of III B.A. who has scored the highest marks in part - II Telugu of the Final Year University Examination and passed in the first attempt.

19. Prof. T.SURYANARAYANA MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Sri. T.V. Subramanyam, Lecturer in English, Badvel in memory of his father Prof. T.Surynarayana, former Prof.of Telugu, B.T.College, with an endowment of Rs.500/-.The prize of about Rs.50/-in books is awarded to a student of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., who scores the highest marks in Part 1 Telugu in both first and second year University Examinations put together and passes in the first attempt.

20.Sri A.NANJUNDAPPA MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Smt.A.Radha, Junior Assistant, with an endowment of Rs.500/-This prize of about of Rs.50/- is awarded to a student of B.Sc., (C.B.H) who scores the highest marks in Horticulture in the University Examinations of all the three years put together.

21.Sri B.RAMDAS NAIDU MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Sri.B.Kishore Kumar, Typist (SG), in memory of his father Sri. B.Ramadas Naidu, former Office Superintendent of this College with an endowment of Rs.1000/- This Prize of about Rs.100/- is awarded to a student who stands first in the First Year B.Sc., Degree Examination with Computer Science subject.

22.Sri PARTHAMUNI SREENIVASULU MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Sri.P.Ramesam, B.E., Superintending Engineer (R&B) (Retired)II-92,A3-A,Aravinda Nagar, Anantapur-

515 001 with an endowment of Rs.5000/- This prize of Rs.500/- is awarded to a poor student standing First in B.Sc., Degree Course in the University Examinations of all the Three years put together.

23.Major M.K.H. SWAMY MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Smt. M.Sarada Swamy,21/15,M.G.Road,Bangalore-560 001 with an endowment of about Rs.5000/- This prize of Rs.500/- is awarded every year to a student who stands First in B.Com., (in both English and Telugu Media of both Day & Evening College) in the University Examinations of all the Three years put together.

24.Dr. Smt.BHAGYALAKHSMI AND Sri.D.KRISHNA RAO PRIZE

Instituted by Dr. Smt. Bhagyalakhsmi and Sri.D.Krishna Rao with an endowment of Rs.5000/- Two prizes of Rs.250/- each are awarded to the students of B.A., Securing highest marks in English and Telugu Literature respectively in the University Examinations of all the Three Years put together.

25.MIKKILINENI GOPALA KRISHNAIAH & MIKKILINENI RAMAKRISHNAMMA MEMORIAL PRIZE

26.Late.Sri P.N.V.RAO MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Smt.P.Visalakshi W/o Late Sri.Pothapi Narayana Rao Vasudeva Rao,30,Brindavan Apartments, 1-9-297-1,Achutha Reddy Street, Vidhyanagar ,Hyderabad with an endowment of Rs.10,000/- A prize of about Rs.1000/- as Medal or Cash, is awarded to a student who stands first in B.A. Examination.

27.Smt GANNE MALLIKA & Sri GANNE VENKATAIAH CASH PRIZE

The above prize is Instituted by Sri. Ganne Venkataiah Lecturer in Chemistry, S.C .N .R . Government College, Proddatur with an endowment of Rs.10,000/-. A cash prize of about Rs.1000/- will be awarded to a student of I B.Sc., who scores the highest marks in Chemistry Subject in First appearance in the University Examination.

28. Smt. GUDREDDI CHINNAMMA & GUDREDDI SAMI REDDY MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Sri. G.Chinnappa Reddy, Head, Department of Botany, (Retd.,) in memory of his parents with an endowment of Rs.10.116/- (Rupees Ten thousand One hundred and Sixteen only). The scholarship amount equal to the annual interest accruing on the endowment deposit is awarded in cash to a student who scores the highest marks in part II subjects of Second year B.Sc., C.B.H. Group in the University Examinations and passes in the First attempt.

29. Sri JOLEPALEM VENKATARAMANA NAIDU MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Dr.Jolepalem Neelakantham Educational Development Fund, 615 Fox Hills Drive, N. Bloom Field Hills, M.I. 48304 U.S.A. Dr.Jolepalem Neelakantham is an alumnus of this institution. A cash award of $ 30 each is given to three meritorious Third year Degree students ( B.A/B.Com.,/B.Sc.,) who score the highest marks in Part II Group Subjects in the University examinations of I and II years put together and pass in first attempt.

30. Smt.TUMMULURI NAGAMMA & Sri.TUMMULURI NARAYANA PRIZE

Instituted by Prof. T.Siddaiah, Registrar, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati and an Old Student of our College in honour of his parents Smt. Tummuluri Nagamma and Sri. Tummuluri Narayana.

1. Smt. Tummuluri Nagamma Prize: The annual interest accrued on a deposit of Rs.5000/- will be given away as Cash Prize to a student who scores the highest marks in the First Paper of Group Subjects of First year B.Com., Course in the March University Examination.

2. ACHARYA S.SRIPATHI NAIDU MEMORIAL PRIZE

(a) One prize of Rs.150/- in the form of a Gold Plated Silver Medal to a student securing the highest marks in History Subject in both the years put together at the first appearance in the Intermediate Examinations.

(b)Two Prizes:(Ist Prize Rs.30/- and II Prize Rs.20/- in books ) to Intermediate students who stand first and second respectively in an Oratorical Competition.

Two prizes of about Rs.30/-each in the form books are awarded to a student of the Intermediate Course (Sciences) and another to a student of the Intermediate Course (Arts and Commerce) who score the second rank at the first appearance in both the first and second year Public Examinations put together.

5.Sri BRAHMA SASTRY MEMORIAL PRIZE

Two prizes are instituted by Sri.G.Seetharam in memory of his brother-in-law Sri.Brahma Sastry. One Prize of about Rs.10/- in books is awarded to a student of the Intermediate Course(Science) and another prize of equal value to a student of the Intermediate Course (Arts and Commerce) who score the first rank at the first appearance in both the first & second year Public Examinations put together.

6.Smt JAYALAKSHMI KUMAR MEMORIAL PRIZE

This Prize, instituted by Late Sri.B.Ramadas Naidu, former Office Superintendent, of about Rs.30/- in books is awarded to a student of the Intermediate Course who scores the highest marks in Part II (Language) at the appearance in both the first and second year Public Examinations put together.

7. Dr ANNIE BESANT MEMORIAL PRIZE

This Prize, instituted by Late Sri.B.Ramadas Naidu, former Office Superintendent,   of about Rs.30/-in books is awarded to a student of the Intermediate Course who scores the highest marks in Part I English at the first appearances in both the first and second year Public Examinations put together.

8.Sri RANGANATHA SASTRY MEMORIAL PRIZE

Two Prizes, one prize of about Rs.50/- in books is awarded to a student of the Intermediate Course (Science) and another prize of equal value to a student of the Intermediate Course (Arts and Commerce) who score the highest total marks respectively in part III subjects at first appearances in both the first and second year Public Examinations put together.

9.Sri RAICHUR SESHAGIRI VENKATARAMANAIAH MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Sri.R.Jayakumar, Hyderabad in memory of his father, Raichur Seshagiri Venkataramanaiah Garu,with an endowment of Rs.5000/-This prize of about Rs.500/- in cash or Gold Plated Silver Medal is awarded to an economically backward student of First Year Degree Class securing highest marks in the Intermediate Examinations of both years put together in first attempt.

10. Smt JOLEPALYAM SEETHAMMA MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Dr.Neelakantha Jolepalayam,5865,Nanevact W.Bloom Field,Michigan,48033(U.S.A) S/0 J.Venkataramana, an alumnus of the College (through Dr.Jolepalyam Mangamma Garu) in memory of his grand mother, Jolepalyam Seethamma Garu through the International Development Fund for Higher Education, 19940,Imperial Highway, Redford, Michigan 48240 (U.S.A) This prize of 40 US Dollars is awarded by the Fund directly to a student of senior Inter who passes the First Year Intermediate whole Examination securing the highest marks in M.P.C.or Bi.P.C Group.

11. Sri KOSURI ADINARAYANA MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Sri.K.Hanumanthu, Deputy General Manager (Production) Southern Structurals Ltd.,Madras 600 072, in memory of his elder brother, Sri.K.Adinarayana, an alumnus of the College with an endowment of Rs.1000/- This prize of about Rs.100/- in books is awarded to a student of Second Year Intermediate Course who has scored the highest marks in Part III Mathematics in both I and II year Public Examinations put together and passed in the first attempt.

12. Prof H.SUNDER RAO MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Smt.Hemalatha G.Kuber of Bangalore in 1989 in memory of her father Late Prof.H.Sunder Rao, an eminent scholar and Professor of English who servedin our College from 1928 to 1949 with an endowment of Rs.500/- This prize of about Rs.50/- in books is awarded to a student of the Intermediate Course who has scored the highest marks in part I English of the First Year I.P.E. in the first attempt.

13. Sri C.LAKSHMANA RAO MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by C.V.L.Babu,VII-49-A,Apparao Street, Madanapalli with an endowment of Rs.1000/- is awarded to a student of Senior Intermediate who has passed the First Year Intermediate whole Examination and secured the highest marks in Part III Zoology Paper-I (Biological Science & Physical Science).

1. Sri BHAGATH RAM KUMAR MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by late Sri. B.Ramadas Naidu, former superintendent, College Office, with an endowment of Rs.500/- This prize of Rs.50/- in cash or books is awarded to the cadet standing first in N.C.C.

2. MAJOR M.K.H.SWAMY MEMORIAL PRIZE

Instituted by Major R.Venkatasiva Naidu and Cadets of the year 1980-81 with an endowment of Rs. 1000/- Two prizes of the value of Rs. 50/- each are awarded to the N.C.C. Cadets one from each Coy) who stand first in the Cross Country Running Race to be conducted by the College N.C.C. Authorities.
